Orange. An orange has a thicker skin, thus bruising less easily. In addition, oranges serve multiple purposes. One being that you can cut one in half and make them into boobs. That doesn't work so well with apples...

I'm going with the orange. Tougher exterior, and being round gives it unparralled mobility in all directions. It's juice is far more acidic as well giving it a defense mechanism similar to the guys in the Aliens movies. If the apple managed to wound the orange the apple could still end up blinded in the process.

Orange, since it's got more buddies being grown all year round than apples, which only seem to come into season during the fall.

if we're tlking short term, apple (quick death). but, if it was a battle to the death lasting ages, the citric acid in the orange just may have the apple beat...but then again, pending on the environment, the orange is more than likely to dehydrate sooner than an apple would
